Ingredients

1/4 cup raisins ( kismis )
1/4 teaspoon saffron strand ( kesar )
2 teaspoons rose water
4 apples
6 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder ( elaichi )
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg ( jaiphal )
2 teaspoons butter
sliced almonds ( badam )
chopped cashews ( kaju , kaju )
sliced pistachios

Instructions

1.Soak saffron in warm water and keep aside.
2.Peel and grate the apples.
3.In a pan, melt butter and add raisins.
4.Once the raisins puff up, add the grated apples and mix well.
5.Cover and let it cook for 5 minutes until the apples are soft.
6.Add sugar, cardamom powder, nutmeg, sliced almonds, and chopped cashews.
7.Stir continuously until the mixture thickens.
8.Add rose water and saffron water mixture.
9.Mix well and let it cook for another 2 minutes.
10.Garnish with sliced pistachios and serve hot.
