Ingredients

4 medium potatoes
2 tablespoons grated coconut
2 teaspoons sesame seeds
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
2 fresh green chilies , minced
1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves , minced
2 teaspoons garam masala
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 cups all purpose white flour
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
2 teaspoons melted butter
1/2 cup water ( just enough to make a nice dough )
ghee or vegetable oil , for frying ( You can deep fry or shallow fry . )

Instructions

1.Boil and mash the potatoes and add grated coconut, sesame seeds, brown sugar, ginger, green chilies, coriander leaves, garam masala, salt, and lemon juice to it. Mix all the ingredients well.
2.In a separate bowl, mix white flour, turmeric, cayenne, melted butter, and water to form a dough.
3.Make small balls of the potato mixture and flatten them. Roll the flattened balls in the white flour dough until coated evenly.
4.Heat the ghee or vegetable oil in a deep frying pan. Once the oil is heated, fry the potato swirls until crispy and golden brown. Serve hot with mint chutney.
