Ingredients

4 peach halves in syrup , canned
4 slices bread
3/4 cup milk ( I use Virtually fat-free to make it guilt-free )
3/4 tablespoon cornflour ( mixed in 3-4 tbsps . of milk )
1/4 cup Nestle sweetened condensed milk
ghee or oil , to fry
4 fresh mint leaves , washed , for garnishing
225 g raspberry jam or 225 g strawberry jam
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water

Instructions

1.Drain the syrup from the canned peaches and reserve 1/4 cup of it. Set the peaches aside.
2.In a pan, combine the reserved syrup, milk, and cornflour mixed with milk. Stir well.
3.Add sweetened condensed milk and cook on medium heat until the mixture thickens. Keep stirring to prevent lumps and sticking.
4.Take 4 bread slices and cut them from sides. Then, cut them in 2 pieces or diagonal, as per your preference.
5.In a frying pan, heat ghee or oil and shallow fry bread till golden brown.
6.Arrange fried bread slices in a single layer on a plate.
7.Spoon the cooked milk mixture over the bread, making sure all the slices are covered.
8.Keep the peach halves on top of the milk mixture.
9.In another pan, heat jam and 1/2 cup water. Bring it to a boil and let it cook till the mixture thickens.
10.Spoon the cooked jam mixture over the peach halves.
11.Melt sugar in 1/2 cup water and pour it over the jam mixture.
12.Garnish with a mint leaf and serve chilled.
