Ingredients

1/2 kg mutton ( You can use mutton chops as well )
3 medium onions , crushed
1 teaspoon garlic , crushed
1 teaspoon ginger , crushed
6 -7 green chilies , crushed
1 bunch coriander leaves , crushed
1 tablespoon mint leaf , crushed
1 tablespoon methi leaves , crushed or 1 teaspoon dry methi leaves
2 -3 tablespoons ground spinach
1 cup low-fat yogurt
1/2 cup oil or 1/2 cup ghee
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin seed , powdered
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder

Instructions

1.In a bowl, marinate the mutton with ginger and garlic paste, half of the crushed onions, and yogurt. Keep in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
2.In a heavy-bottomed pan, add oil or ghee and the remaining crushed onions. Sauté until golden brown.
3.Add the marinated mutton and cook on medium flame for 5-10 minutes.
4.Add red chili powder, salt, cumin seed powder, and turmeric powder. Mix well.
5.Add crushed green chilies, coriander leaves, mint leaves, methi leaves, and ground spinach. Mix well and cover the lid.
6.Cook on low flame for 25-30 minutes or until the mutton is tender. Add garam masala and mix well.
7.Serve hot with roti or rice.
