Ingredients

2 cups water
1 piece cinnamon stick
4 green cardamom pods , smashed
4 whole cloves
1/2 star anise
2 quarter sized pieces fresh ginger
2 teaspoons black tea leaves ( recommended ( Taj Mahal ) or 2 teaspoons black tea , of choice ( I use decaf )
2 teaspoons honey ( or more )
whole milk ( I use almond or rice milk ) or half-and-half ( I use almond or rice milk )

Instructions

1.In a small saucepan, add water, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, whole cloves, star anise, and fresh ginger.
2.Bring the mixture to a boil then reduce heat to low.
3.Add black tea leaves and honey, then let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes.
4.Add your choice of milk and simmer for another 2-3 minutes. Strain the mixture into a cup and enjoy your cozy Aarti's Party Chai Tea!
