Ingredients

2 apples , peeled and sliced them in thin rings
3/4 cup plain flour
1/2 teaspoon dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon oil
oil , to fry
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 cup water
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 tablespoon blenched and sliced pistachios

Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, dry yeast, sugar, oil and enough water to make a thick batter.
2.Mix until no lumps remain and the batter is smooth.

4.Heat oil in a pan. Dip each apple ring into the batter and carefully place in the hot oil.
5.Fry until they turn golden brown from both sides.
6.In a separate pot, heat sugar and water together until the sugar dissolves.
7.Add lemon juice and cardamom powder to the sugar syrup.
8.When the jalebis are done cooking, remove from oil and place them in the sugar syrup for a few seconds.
9.Once all jalebis are dipped, garnish with sliced pistachios and serve warm or cold.
