Ingredients

1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon cooking oil
1/4 teaspoon cumin seed
2 tablespoons green peas , washed and drained ( about 50gms )
1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 pinch of yellow chili powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/4 teaspoon roasted and crushed cumin seed
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 -6 slices panir ( tofu )
10 -12 cloves , lightly cooked in a little oil
1 tablespoon oil
1/4 teaspoon cumin seed
1/2 cup tomato puree
water , as much as required to get gravy consistency
1 pinch kasuri methi , crushed between palms
1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 pinch red chili powder
1 teaspoon cream , beaten ( For those on a low-fat diet , you can use low-fat plain yogurt as a substitute )
2 tablespoons coriander leaves , chopped ( to garnish )
Yummy Laung Lata is a vegetarian dish that originates from India. The dish is made of tofu rolls, which are stuffed with a mixture of green peas, cumin, garam masala powder, yellow chili powder, coriander powder, roasted and crushed cumin seeds, and salt. The rolls are then cooked in a rich tomato-cream sauce and served with rice or roti. The dish is incredibly flavorful and nutritious, making it a great option for a healthy dinner. Instructions

1.Take a pan, and heat oil and butter in it. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
2.Add green peas and saute for a minute. Now add garam masala powder, yellow chili powder, coriander powder, roasted and crushed cumin seeds, and salt.
3.Mix well all the ingredients. Now take the tofu slices, and stuff them with this mixture. Roll them tightly and keep aside.
4.Heat oil in a pan, add cloves, and fry them. Now add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
5.Add tomato puree and cook until the puree thickens and oil starts floating on the surface.
6.Add kasuri methi, garam masala powder, salt, and red chili powder. Mix well.
7.Now add water and let the gravy cook for about 2-3 minutes.
8.Add cream to the gravy and mix well.
9.Now add the prepared tofu rolls to the gravy and cook for just about 1-2 minutes.
10.Garnish with coriander leaves, and serve hot with rice or roti.

This vegetarian dish is very nutritious and packed full of flavor.

The tofu rolls are an excellent meat substitute and the tomato-cream sauce brings out all the flavors.

CONS

If you are a spice novice, the chili powder may make this dish too hot for you.

Be careful with the tomato puree, too much can overpower the dish.
