Ingredients

1/4 cup dried fenugreek leaves
2 lbs corn kernels ( frozen is fine , thaw it first )
vegetable oil , as needed ( high quality )
2 teaspoons grated ginger
3 -4 small green chilies or 1 jalapeno , seeded and minced
1 teaspoon asafoetida powder
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
2 teaspoons coarse salt

Instructions

3.In a mixing bowl, combine the ground corn, chopped fenugreek, ginger, green chilies, asafoetida powder, turmeric, and salt. Mix well.
4.Using your hands, shape the mixture into small round discs.
5.In a skillet, heat some vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the discs until they are golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
6.Serve the Methi Makai Kebabs hot with chutney or sauce of your choice.
