Ingredients

1/2 kg yoghurt
3/4 cup pureed spinach
1 medium onion , chopped
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 1/2 tablespoons dill , chopped
salt
2 tablespoons oil
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
1 green chili
2 garlic cloves
Palak Raita is a mouth-watering dish hailing from North India. It is a part of the typical North Indian meal, which is incomplete without yogurt or raita. This yoghurt-based dish has an earthy flavor of Spinach, a natural coolant, and digestive, that keeps our body systems clean. It's consumed as a side dish to rice, lentils, or vegetables, providing an excellent nutritional value to the whole meal. It's easy to make and can be whipped up quickly, perfect for busy weeknights.

Instructions

1.In a bowl, whisk the yoghurt till smooth and add pureed spinach to it.
2.Heat oil in a pan, add cumin and let them splutter. Now add chopped onions and garlic cloves, sauté for 2-3 minutes till onion gets tender then add green chilies, red chili powder, and mix.
3.Add this mixture to the yogurt and spinach mixture. Season with salt and mix well.
4.Finally, add chopped dill and mix well.
5.Refrigerate it for 1-2 hours. Palak Raita is ready to serve.
