Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs raw chicken
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste

1 1/4 cups plain yogurt
1/3 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon black cumin seeds
1 1/2 cups tomato puree
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon red chili powder

1/3 cup fresh cream
4 green chilies ( sliced )
1 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves ( crushed )
Mughlai Chicken, also known as Butter Chicken, is a popular Indian dish that originated in Delhi. Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, combine chicken with red chili powder, ginger-garlic paste, salt and plain yogurt. Mix well and set aside.

3.Add tomato puree, sugar, red chili powder and salt. Cook till the tomato puree is cooked well.
4.Add marinated chicken to the tomato puree. Cook on a low flame for about 20 minutes or until chicken is tender. Stir occasionally.
5.Add fresh cream and sliced green chilies. Give it a stir.
6.Add crushed dried fenugreek leaves and mix well. Turn off the heat and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
