Ingredients

2 cups lentils
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon oil
3 onions
1 small green chili pepper

Instructions

8.Add the coriander seeds, clove, cinnamon, ginger, poppy seed, cumin, and turmeric to the pan. Fry for another minute.
9.Add the spice mixture to the cooked dal. Stir to combine and let the dal simmer for another 10 minutes to let the flavors meld.
10.Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
