Ingredients

1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne ( see note above ! ! ! )
1 tablespoon turmeric
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
2 teaspoons salt
2 -3 garlic cloves , pressed
6 tablespoons lemon juice
3 1/2 lbs chicken pieces
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Masaledar Murghi or Spicy Baked Chicken is a popular dish in Indian cuisine. The word 'masala' in Hindi language translates to 'spice blend'. Instructions

1.In a small bowl, mix cumin, paprika, cayenne, turmeric, black pepper and salt.
2.Add pressed garlic and lemon juice to this mix and stir it.
3.Place chicken pieces in a pan. Pour this mix and coat the chicken with it.
4.Let the chicken marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
5.Preheat the oven to 400°F. Brush the chicken with vegetable oil.
6.Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
7.Serve hot.
