Ingredients

2 inches cinnamon sticks
6 cardamom pods
8 whole cloves
15 black peppercorns
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 lbs boneless lamb shoulder , cut into 1 1/2 inch chunks
1 lb potato , peeled and cut in chunks
2 med-sized carrots , peeled and cut into chunks
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1/8 - 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 -2 fresh hot green chili pepper
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1 can coconut milk , well stirred

Instructions

6.Pour in the coconut milk and bring to a simmer.
7.Cover and let simmer over low heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until the lamb is tender and the vegetables are cooked through. Serve hot.
