2 teaspoons poppy seeds ( khus-khus )
4 whole red chilies

Instructions

1.Grind together fresh coconut, garlic, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, ginger, poppy seeds, and red chilies into a smooth paste.
2.Heat oil in a deep pan, add bay leaves and onions, sauté till onions turn golden brown.
3.Add the coconut paste, tomato puree, fresh curds, sugar, celery, and salt. Mix well.
4.Add green peas and cauliflower florets and mix with the masala.
5.Add enough water to cover the cauliflower and peas. Cover and cook till the cauliflower and peas are cooked and the gravy thickens.
6.Serve hot with rice or chapati.
