Ingredients

500 g cottage cheese , 1 inch triangle 500 grams ( paneer )
3 tablespoons oil
2 dry red chilies
2 cloves
2 tablespoons coriander seeds
2 medium onions , sliced
2 inches cinnamon sticks
2 bay leaves
2 teaspoons garlic paste
2 teaspoons ginger paste
2 teaspoons red chili powder
5 -6 medium tomatoes
salt
2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves , chopped

Instructions

1.Cut the cottage cheese into 1 inch triangle shapes and keep aside.
2.Dry roast the coriander seeds, cloves, cinnamon sticks and the dry red chilies in a pan. Once they cool down, grind them into a fine powder.
3.In a large wok or kadhai, heat the oil and add the bay leaves and sliced onions.
4.Once the onions turn golden brown, add ginger paste and garlic paste. Stir for a minute.
5.Add the powdered spices and red chili powder to the wok and stir for a minute.
6.Add chopped tomatoes and sprinkle salt.
7.Stir occasionally and cook until the tomatoes are soft and the masala is cooked.
8.Add the cottage cheese into the wok and stir until the masala is coated evenly.
9.Cook for 5-7 minutes and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot with rotis or rice.
