1 cup long grain rice , cooked
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
6 -8 curry leaves
1 tablespoon channa dal
1/8 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper ( optional )
2 tablespoons lemon juice , fresh
1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1.Heat oil in a pan.
2.Add mustard seeds and let it crackle.
3.Add channa dal and curry leaves, sauté until golden brown.
4.Add turmeric and cayenne pepper to the pan, mix well.
5.Add lemon juice and salt to the mixture.
6.Add the cooked rice to the mixture. Mix well until the rice is coated with spices and lemon juice.
7.Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and serve.
