1/2 cup olive oil
6 -7 cups cold water or 6 -7 cups broth
1 package onion soup mix
1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

1.Rinse the lentils and rice in cold water and drain well.

4.Add the rinsed lentils and rice into the pot and stir well.
5.Add the cold water or broth and salt, and let the mixture come to a boil.
6.Reduce heat to low, cover the pot and let it simmer for 30-40 minutes or until the lentils are fully cooked.
7.Once done, remove from heat and stir in a tablespoon of butter. Serve hot and enjoy!
