Ingredients

1 lb ground lamb
black pepper , to taste
4 tablespoons parsley , chopped
1/4 cup pine nuts
1 onion , minced
butter
1 teaspoon dried mint
1 can tomato puree

Kafta Snoober is a delicious dish that originated from the Levant region and is now enjoyed in many parts of the world. The name “Snoober” is derived from the pine nuts (Snoober in Arabic) that are added to the lamb mixture. Instructions

1.In a large bowl, mix together ground lamb and chopped parsley. Add black pepper to taste and mix thoroughly.
2.In a pan, sauté minced onions in butter until they turn translucent and remove from heat. Add pine nuts and dried mint to the onion mixture.
3.Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
4.Mix the onion-pine nut mixture into the ground lamb mixture. Mix thoroughly until the onions and pine nuts are evenly distributed through the lamb.
5.Form the lamb mixture into 6 oval patties of equal size, around 3/4 inch thick.
6.Grill the patties for around 5-6 minutes per side.
7.While the patties are grilling, mix the tomato puree with a teaspoon of dried mint. Set aside.
8.Once the patties are done, remove from heat. Serve hot, with the tomato puree sauce on top.
