1 kg mung beans ( still in shell )
1 kg granulated sugar
3 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1.Rinse mung beans thoroughly and soak them in water overnight.
2.Drain and rinse the soaked mung beans and place them in a pot with enough water to cover them. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
3.Remove the pot from heat and mash the mung beans with a wooden spoon or masher.
4.In a large pot, place the mashed mung beans, sugar, and 2 cups of water. Cook over medium heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture becomes thick and sticky.
5.Stir in the sesame seeds and vanilla extract and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
6.Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and let it cool for several hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
