Beef dumplings are a staple in many cuisines around the world, with variations ranging from Chinese potstickers to Eastern European pelmeni. This recipe puts a twist on the classic dumpling by including a sweet surprise inside - a small dried apricot. The beef mixture is seasoned with garlic, onion, and cilantro for added flavor, and the dumplings are simmered in a flavorful broth until they are tender and juicy. Serve them as an appetizer for your next dinner party or make a big batch for a family gathering.

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, mix ground beef, salt, black pepper, minced garlic, chopped onion, finely chopped cilantro, and egg. Mix well until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
2.Wet your hands with water. Take a tablespoon of the mixture and place a small dried apricot inside. Cover the apricot with the meat mixture and form a ball. Repeat until all the meat mixture and apricots are used.
3.Heat the broth in a pot over medium heat. Once simmering, add the beef dumplings and cook for 10-15 minutes or until they are cooked through and the apricots have softened.
4.Remove the dumplings from the broth and serve hot with a side of dipping sauce.
