Ingredients

350 g boneless lamb ( or extra fine mince )
3/4 cup parsley
2 medium onions
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baharat ( or similar )
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon ( optional )
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder ( optional )
1/4 teaspoon ginger ( optional )
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 medium potatoes
cooking oil
1/3 cup sesame paste ( tahina )
2 medium lemons , juice of
1 cup water
arabic bread or cooked medium grain rice
Kofta Bi Tahini is a popular Middle Eastern dish that is loved by all. It is made with a mix of lamb or extra fine mince, parsley, onion, and authentic spices like baharat, cinnamon, and ginger. The koftas are cooked in a pan until golden brown and served with a tahini sauce made of sesame paste, lemon juice, and a cup of water. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 200°C/gas mark 6.
2.Chop the lamb or mince in a blender and add the parsley, onion, salt, and spices until fully mixed.
3.Brush the olive oil onto both sides of the potatoes and place them in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are cooked.
4.Roll the lamb into small balls (the size of golf balls) and flatten them slightly into a football shape.
5.Heat 2-3 tablespoons of cooking oil in a large frying pan.
6.Place the koftas in the frying pan and cook them for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
7.In a separate bowl, combine the tahini, lemon juice, and 1/2 cup of water to make a sauce.
8.Place the koftas on a platter and pour the sauce over them.
9.Serve with Arabic bread or cooked medium grain rice.
