2 cups plain flour
2 cups whole meal flour
125 g chopped butter
1/3 cup cold water
1 tablespoon butter
1 large brown onion , finely diced
1 garlic clove , minced
1 bunch fresh spinach , chopped and wilted or packet frozen spinach , cooked
100 g crumbled feta
250 g ricotta cheese
200 g grated tasty cheese
3 cups cooked brown rice
3 eggs , beaten
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
1 pinch cayenne
1 pinch salt
1 pinch black pepper
nutmeg , to taste
Hunza Pie is a delicious and healthy dish that originated in Hunza Valley, located in northern Pakistan. This pie is packed with good-for-you ingredients like spinach, brown rice, and cheese. Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine both flours and chopped butter. Add water and mix until it forms a ball.
2.Roll out the pastry and line a greased pie dish. Trim off excess pastry.
3.Preheat the oven to 180C.
4.In a frying pan, heat up some butter and sauté the onion and garlic until soft. Add in the wilted spinach, feta, ricotta cheese, grated tasty cheese, and cooked rice. Stir together until well combined.
5.Add the beaten eggs, fresh chives, cayenne, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg and mix until combined.
6.Pour the filling into the pie dish and smooth the top.
7.Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
8.Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving.
