Ingredients

2 pieces chicken breasts
2 ounces bamboo shoots

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 dash white pepper
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
5 ounces hoisin sauce

Instructions

1.Cut chicken breasts into small pieces and set aside.
2.Dice bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, and black mushrooms and set aside separately.
3.Wash and separate the leaves of lettuce and set aside.
4.Toast peanuts or pine nuts in a frying pan over low heat and set aside.
5.Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and stir-fry for 10 seconds.
6.Add chicken and stir-fry for 3 minutes until fully cooked.
7.Add bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, and black mushrooms, stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
8.Mix soy sauce, sugar, white pepper, and sesame oil together and add to the frying pan. Stir-fry for 1 minute.
9.Add hoisin sauce and stir for 2 minutes until the ingredients are fully coated.
10.Spoon a small amount of the chicken mixture onto a lettuce leaf. Top with rice noodles and toasted peanuts or pine nuts. Wrap the lettuce around the mixture and serve immediately.
