Ingredients

2 cups white rice
3 cups water
1 1 pork bouillon cube or 1 vegetable bouillon cube ( 1 large or 2 small )
1 can tomato sauce
4 tablespoons oil
2 garlic cloves , minced
1/2 cup onion , finely chopped
1 tablespoon paprika ( optional )
1/2 tablespoon chili powder ( optional )
1/2 tablespoon oregano ( optional )
1/2 teaspoon cumin ( optional )
salt and pepper

Instructions

1.Wash rice under cold water until water runs clear. Drain the rice.
2.In a large pot, heat 4 tablespoons of oil over medium heat.
3.Add onions and garlic and cook until the onion is softened.
4.Add rice and stir well to coat the rice with the oil and onion mixture.
5.Add tomato sauce, bouillon cube, and spices. Stir to mix everything together.
6.Add water and bring to a boil.
7.Reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for about 20 minutes until the rice is cooked.
8.Fluff the rice and serve hot.
