Instructions

1.In a large pot, melt 1/4 cup of margarine or butter over low heat.
2.Stir in 4 cups of mini marshmallows until melted and smooth.
3.Remove from heat and add in 4 cups of Rice Krispies, mixing until completely coated.
4.Spread evenly in a greased 9x13 inch pan and set aside.
5.In a separate pot, melt one package of caramels, 3/4 cup of margarine or butter, and one can of sweetened condensed milk over low heat.
6.Stir until melted and smooth, then remove from heat, and add in 4 cups of mini marshmallows, and 4 cups of Rice Krispies, and shredded coconut (if desired). Stir until completely coated.
7.Spoon the caramel mixture onto the Rice Krispies layer and spread evenly.
8.Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing and serving.
