Instructions

1.Toast the whole star anise and szechuan peppercorns in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, or until fragrant
2.Remove from heat and allow to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a spice grinder
3.Add the fennel seeds, allspice berry, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, and ground ginger to the spice grinder
4.Pulse the mixture until finely ground and well combined
5.Store the spice blend in an airtight container for up to 6 months
