1 lb firm fleshy fish , cut into pieces
flour , for dredging
4 medium onions
1 cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon turmeric
2 teaspoons curry powder
1 teaspoon peppercorn
2 bay leaves
2 teaspoons brown sugar

Instructions

1.Dredge fish pieces in flour and set aside.

4.Add in fried onions, peppercorns, bay leaves, brown sugar and fish pieces. Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the fish is cooked.
5.Allow the dish to cool, then place in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
