5 ounces bittersweet chocolate , chut into pieces
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup cream cheese , at room temperature
1 cup mascarpone cheese , at room temperature
2 eggs , yorks large and at room temperature
1/4 cup sugar
4 egg yolks , large at at room temperature
1 tablespoon rum
1/4 cup marsala wine
1/2 cup plus 2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 chocolate cake
1 cup fresh hot espresso or 1 cup strong coffee
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cupe rum , dark
1 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder or 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Instructions

1.Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, add heavy cream and mix well.
2.In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth then add mascarpone cheese and beat until light and smooth.
3.Gradually add sugar and mix until well combined, then add egg yolks and rum and mix well.
4.In another bowl, beat egg yolks and sugar until thick and creamy, then add rum and marsala wine and mix well.
5.In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then add sugar gradually and mix until stiff peaks are formed.
6.Slice the chocolate cake and place half of them on a rectangular shallow dish, then pour half of the espresso or coffee mixture over them.
7.Spread half of the mascarpone cheese mixture over the cake and cover with another layer of chocolate cake.
8.Pour over the remaining espresso or coffee mixture and spread the remaining mascarpone cheese mixture over the top.
9.Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or overnight. Before serving, sprinkle cocoa powder or powdered sugar over the top.
