French Toast Casserole is a variation of the classic French toast dish, but instead of dipping the bread in an egg and milk mixture, all of the ingredients are combined in a casserole dish and baked in the oven. The dish is perfect for breakfast or brunch and can be made the night before and baked in the morning for an easy and stress-free meal. The addition of a caramel-pecan topping takes the dish to the next level and adds a sweet and crunchy element to the casserole.

.Cut bread into 1 inch cubes and place in the prepared baking dish.
.In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, whole milk, half-and-half, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
.Pour egg mixture over the bread cubes, making sure all pieces are coated.
.In a medium saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.
.Remove from heat and stir in chopped pecans. Pour mixture over the bread cubes.
.Cover baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
.Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until top is golden brown.
